  2. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  3. 1 medium tomato,
  4. 1 cup boiled green peas
  5. 200 grams paneer
  6. 1 bay leaf,
  7. 2-3 cloves,
  8. 2 cardamom,
  9. 2-3 pepper corn
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,
  11. 1 tsp coriander powder,
  12. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder,
  13. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  14. 2-3 green chilli,
  15. as per taste salt
  16. 1/2 cup cream / fresh Malai,
  17. 1.5 cup milk
  18. 3 tbsp oil + 1 tsp ghee
  19. 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  20. 1/2 tsp sugar but optional

Instructions to make Creamy Matar Paneer

  1. Assemble all ingredients
  2. Make paste of onion + green chilli and paste of tomato
  3. Marinade paneer cubes with salt and marinade for 10 minutes, then fry till golden brown and keep aside.
  4. In same pan, add all whole spices and sauté for 1 minute or till turns aromatic.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. Then add onion + green chilli paste and sauté by adding 3 tbsp water, sauté 2-3 minutes under medium flame till water evaporates to some extent.
  6. Then add tomato paste + little salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes, then add dry spices like turmeric + coriander + red chilli powder + salt and stir fry for 3-4 minutes or till spices release oil and turns aromatic.
  7. Add green peas, mix well and stir fry for 2 minutes, then add milk.
    Mix well and give 2-3 times boil under medium flame by stirring continuously.
  8. Now add paneer cubes + coriander + garam masala, mix well and simmer for 3-4 minutes, gravy turns thick.
  9. Now add cream / Malai, sugar, mix well and simmer for 3-4 minutes under low flame by covering lid.
  10. Lastly add ghee and simmer for 1 minute and keep in stand by for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Now curry is ready to serve, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
