- In a heated pan, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black pepper, clove, cinnamon, star anise, and dry red chili. Dry roast them until aromatic. After that, drop them in a mixer jar and grind. Make a fine powder out of it. This is your ground spice powder. As of now keep it aside to use later.
- Then in a heated pan, add ghee and chopped onion. Saute onion for a while and then add ginger-garlic paste. Saute again until the onion changes its colour.
