  18. 3 tbsp Screw pine
  19. Whole mixed garam masala as required
  20. Salt to taste

Instructions to make Chickpea Potato Biryani

  1. Boil,peel and cube potatoes.
  2. Shallow fry potatoes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Fry onions till light golden brown.
  5. Add in yoghurt,ginger garlic and all the spices.
  6. Stir it for 3-6 minutes.
  7. Mix in chickpeas and potatoes.
  8. In an other pan,boil rice.
  9. In a skillet,layer rice,tomatoes,mint,coriander,lemons,plums and chickpea masala.
  10. Top it with screw pine,colour and cardamom.
  11. Cook covered on dum for 8-10 minutes.
  12. Serve hot.
