  1. 250 gm Fresh Methi leaves (half bunch) Clean, washed n finely chopped
  2. 1 cup Matar (boiled)
  3. 3/4 Cup Makhane
  4. 2 tsp Magaz (Melon seeds)
  5. 1 Cup Milk
  6. 2 Onions (medium size) chopped
  7. 3-4 Garlic cloves chopped
  8. 1 tsp Salt
  9. 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  10. 1/4 tsp Elaichi powder
  11. 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
  12. 1-2 tsp Sugar
  13. 2 tbsp Oil
  14. 6-7 cashews
  15. 6-7 paneer pieces (optional)
  16. pinch haldi powder (optional)

Steps to make Methi malai makhana

  1. Heat oil in the pan, put chopped Onions n garlic... sauté for a few minutes until the rawness disappears....Add methi leaves n saute until it wilts
  2. Meanwhile, grind Makhane, magaz to a fine powder in a grinder... Now add this powder to the cooked onion mixture in the pan
  3. Add salt, Elaichi powder, red chilli powder, pinch of haldi, garam masala... Mix everything....Add Milk n mix again.
  4. Crush the cashews keep it coarse so you can get the crunch in the sabzi and add in the sabzi along with few paneer cubes and mix well
  5. Put Boiled peas and sugar, mix and let it cook for few mins. Serve with roti or paratha
  6. Note I have added only few paneer and cashew and that too without grinding...if you want thick gravy you can grind cashew with makhana...I wanted thin gravy so added coarse cashew
