  15. 1/4 tsp Garam Masala

Instructions to make Shakshuka

  1. Finely chop veggies
  2. Make tomato paste, assemble all ingredients.
  3. In moderately heated pan, add oil add cumin seeds and allow to crackle, then add garlic and sauté for few seconds, then add onion + green chilli and sauté till translucent. Then add ginger and sauté for few seconds.
  4. Then add potato + capsicum + little salt and stir fry for 4-5 minutes. Then add all dry spices except garam masala and stir fry masala by adding water so that masala doesn’t burn.
  5. Stir fry till masala leaves oil and turns aromatic, then add tomato paste, mix nicely and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add garam masala + salt and cook further for 1-2 minutes, need to dry water from Tomato.
  7. Now add 1/2 cup water, mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes, then make pockets and add eggs in each pocket and sprinkle little salt + pepper powder.
  8. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Keep in stand by mode for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Dish is ready to serve.
  10. Pair with bread or paratha and enjoy.
  11. Cut into pieces and serve.
