  22. Oil to shallow fry the theplas

  1. First of all take wheat flour add masala, oil, salt and carrom seeds. Mix it well and make a dough. Put it for rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Till then crush the potatoes roughly. Chop green chilli and coriander leaves. Take the lemon juice. Now heat a pan add oil and then mustard+cumin seeds. Let them splutter. Add green chillis.
  3. Now add potatoes and dry masala, salt, lemon juice and mix it well. Now add fresh coriander leaves. Our aloo bhali is ready.
  4. Now knead the dough by applying little oil on hands. Cut small lemon size balls. Take 1 ball and roll thepla. Put tava to heat and cook it both sides applying oil as required. Our theplas are ready too.
  5. After theplas cool down, put in a lunch box with aloo bhaji with some dry fruits, small ketchup pouch and water bottle.
