Set Dosa --- It is a very popular and one of favorite Dosa in South India . Set of 3 dosa are always served in a plate . Here I serve with coconut chutney and masala .
Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Set Dosa:
- 1 1/2 cup rice
- 1/2 cup urad dal
- 2 tsp rice flakes
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/4 cup roasted gram dal
- 2 tsp curd
- 10 green chilles
- 1 small piece ginger
- 4 garlic pods
- 1 tsp jeera
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp hing
- 2 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 4 chopped onions
- 4 boiled and mashed potatoes
- As required Oil as required
- Some curry leaves
- 1 red dry chilli
- As per taste Salt
- As required Water
Instructions to make Set Dosa
- Soak rice and urad dal in water for 4 hours. Then grind in a mixer to make a Dosa batter, and add the required water. Keep aside 8 hours for fermenting.
- In a mixing, jar adds green chilles, ginger, garlic, jeera, roasted gram dal, curd, coconut, salt, and water, and grind it. Pour seasonings of mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and red dry chilly in hot oil. Coconut chutney is ready.
- In a Kadai, add oil, hing, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and green chilies. Add onions and saute it till turns transculation. Now add boiled and mashed potatoes, and combine well. Add salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well. Dosa masala is ready.
- Add salt and water as required to make Dosa batter in the pouring constituency.
- Heat a Dosa tawa, apply oil, pour Dosa batter to make set Dosa, make sure it should be little thick, cook both sides till turns pinkish golden.
- Serve hot Set Dosa of 3, with coconut chutney and masala.
