Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Masoor Egg Curry:

  1. 1/2 cup Masoor Dal
  2. 2 Eggs
  3. 4 spoon Water
  4. 1 Garlic clove
  5. 2 green chilli
  6. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder
  7. as per taste Salt,
  8. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 2 pinch Turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  11. as required Oil for frying
  12. Curry / gravy
  13. 1 big Onion
  14. 1 medium Tomato
  15. 1 tbsp Ginger paste / crushed
  16. 5 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  17. 2 green chilli
  18. 1/2 tsp Onion Seeds
  19. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  20. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  21. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  22. 1 tsp Cumin powder
  23. 2 cup Water
  24. as required Oil
  25. 1 medium boiled Potato (chop into cubes)
  26. as per required Finely chopped Coriander

Instructions to make Masoor Egg Curry

  1. Soak Masoor Dal for 2-3 hours
  2. Make a smooth paste of Masoor Dal + water + green chilli + garlic. Add turmeric + salt + red chilli powder + garam masala powder and mix well.
  3. Break eggs into the mixture and mix very nicely. Lastly add baking powder, mix well and transfer the mixture to greased pan.
  4. Cover and cook under low to medium flame for 8-9 minutes.
  5. Flip it with help of a plate / thali and cook further for 8-9 minutes and allow to cool.
  6. Assemble ingredients for curry / gravy.
  7. After cooling, cut into pieces and lightly fry till golden brown.
  8. In moderately heated pan add oil, add onion seeds + garlic and allow to sizzle, then add onion + green chilli and sauté till translucent. Then add potato + ginger and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  9. The add chopped tomatoes and sauté for few seconds, then add all spices + 2 tbsp water and stir fry till spices turn aromatic and starts leaving oil.
  10. Then add water and give 5-6 times boil.
  11. Add the fried egg fritters and cook for 3-4, minutes under low to medium flame. Add chopped coriander, simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  12. Keep in stand by mode for 2-3 minutes, dish is ready. Fritters absorbs gravy, so add water accordingly.
  13. Serve with plain rice, roti, paratha and enjoy.
