- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp powdered sugar or honey
Instructions to make Paneer and Chickpea Salad
- Soak chickpeas in warm water overnight or atleast for 5-6 hours.Next pressure cook chickpeas with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 th tsp baking soda upto 5-6 whistles.Let the steam release on its own.Chickpeas should be soft but not mushy.Dry up excess water in chickpeas and set aside.Cut paneer into bite size pieces. Heat 1 tbsp oil and saute paneer cubes.



- In the remaining oil sprinkle cumin seeds.When they crackle, add the minced garlic and saute.Add chickpeas,a pinch of salt and saute. For assembling: Take a bowl and add paneer, chickpeas,cucumber,capsicum, tomato, chopped onion,finely chopped green chilli. Make the dressing by combining together oil,lemon juice,chilli flakes,chaat masala,black pepper and roasted cumin powder, powdered sugar or honey.
