  18. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  19. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  20. 1 tsp fennel powder
  21. 1 tsp coriander powder
  22. 2 tbsp ghee
  23. as required Oil for frying

Instructions to make Matar Kachodi

  1. Mix all ingredients of covering,and make a soft dough by adding some water.Cover and keep aside.
  2. In a pan add oil,add cumin seeds and asafoetida.Add ginger and green chilli.Saute 1 minutes on low flame.Add chopped onion and fry till golden.
  3. Add boiled peas and all powderd spuces with salt.Mix them all.Mash a little the peas.Cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
  4. Put off flame and let the filling cool.
  5. Divide the dough into lemon sized balls,flatten them,fill 1 tbsp of peas filling.Mahe kachodis.
  6. Heat oil and fry kachodis on low -medium heat till golden.
  7. Serve hot with chutney.Enjoy.
