  1. For poori
  2. 1 cup wheat flour
  3. to taste salt
  4. 1 tsp oil
  5. 1 tbsp sooji
  6. as required Water for making a semi soft dough
  7. as required Oil for frying pooris
  8. For masala paste
  9. 1 inch ginger (chopped)
  10. 1 tomato (medium size)
  11. as per taste Salt
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 green chilli
  14. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  15. 1 cardamom
  16. as required Water
  17. For aloo curry
  18. 1.5 tbsp oil
  19. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  20. 1 dash asofoetida
  21. as required Prepared masala paste
  22. 4 Boiled potatoes (diced)
  23. as needed Salt
  24. 1 dash sugar
  25. 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  26. as Required Water
  27. as required Coriander leaves for garnish
  28. For kheer refer
  29. (add sugar/ jaggery as sweetner, this time I have used sugar)
  30. (Adjust sugar as per your taste)

Instructions to make Poori- aloo curry and kheer

  1. (Steps for making poori)
    In a parath, take wheat flour, salt, sooji and mix.
    Add oil and mix.
    Next gradually add water and knead a semi soft dough.
    Cover and keep aside for resting.
    Upon resting the dough will become softer.
  2. Meanwhile prepare the masala paste with the above-mentioned ingredients.
    Next place a kadhai. Heat oil. Splutter cumin seeds. Add a dash of hing.
    Next put the prepared masala paste.
  3. Cook the masala paste till it leaves oil.
    Next add the diced boiled potatoes and little water.
    Mix. Let it be on slow flame for some time.
    Next add salt as needed and sugar. Mix. Flame must be medium.
    As the flavours combine well with each other, put garam masala.
    Give a mix.
    Put finely chopped coriander leaves and mix.
  4. Cook till the required consistency.
  5. It's ready... serve hot with poori.
    For poori...
    Take the rested dough, knead it once again. Divide into small portions.
    On a rolling board, place the portion and roll it.
    Side by side heat oil. Put pooris for frying at medium to high heat.
    When done... strain...
    Serve hot hot with aloo curry and kheer...
    It's superb breakfast or can be a brunch too..
