Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Beetroot Aloo Bread Pakora:
- 6 bread slices
- 3 medium sized boiled and mashed potato
- 1 medium sized Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Oil
- to taste Salt
- 1 tbsp Green chilli paste
- 1 tbsp Crushed garlic
- 1 tbsp Crushed Ginger
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 TSP Kasuri methi (use gently crushed by hands)
- 1/2 cup Grated Beetroot
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Poha (flattened rice)
- as required Bread crumbs to coat it
- 5 tbsp Maida
- as required Water to make slurry
Instructions to make Beetroot Aloo Bread Pakora
- First take a bowl, add boiled and mashed potatoes, onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, Coriander leaves, green chilli paste, grated beetroot, lemon juice and all other seasonings with oil.
- Then make a dough and add soaked Poha in it. Taste the stuffing and adjust according to your taste.
- Let the stuffing cool down. Now in a bowl, add 5 tbsp Maida and water to make a semi thick slurry (don't make it too thin or too thick, adjust the consistency. We want the consistency to be proper for coating bread slices).
- Take the slices gently dip in water and take it out immediately. Remove excess water and put the stuffing in the centre and start making it like a kachori. Make sure that the pakora is sealed properly.
- Then dip the pakora in the maida slurry we made earlier and coat it nicely with bread crumbs.
- Dip fry it until crisp and golden brown
- Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or Green chutney.
