Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Maggi Prawns Pakora/Fritters:
- 200-250 gms Fresh Prawns: Washed, Cleaned, Peeled, Veined & Roughly Chopped & Gently Sautéd
- To Taste Salt
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1 Packet Maggi Masala Noodles- Any Flavours: Boiled, without its tastemaker & set aside to cool down completely
- 1 Onion: Thinly Sliced
- 1 tbsp (2 G) Paste: Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2-3 Green Chillies: Finely Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Besan
- 1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns: Freshly Cracked
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Coriander Leaves: Finely Chopped
- 1 Egg: Big Preferably
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2-1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1.5 tbsps Rice Flour: Optional (I use it for extra crispness)
- 1.5-2 tbsps Cornflour
- 1 tsp Chat Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- As Required Water: RT (Usually it’s not really called for- However, if you find your mixture too dry, use it not more than a tbsp)
- As Required Cooking Oil: To Deep Fry the Pakoras
- Garnish: Your Way
Instructions to make Maggi Prawns Pakora/Fritters
- Firstly, in a saucepan: Add in the required amount of water to boil the Maggi Noodles without its tastemaker (to be used in later), don’t make very sticky at all- Set aside to cool down completely before it can be used further in the cooking process-
Lightly sauté the prawns pieces first by marinating with some salt & turmeric & setting aside for about 10-15 mins time before that & post sautéed- Roughly Chop them to be put into the pakora mixture


- Now, in a mixing bowl: Add in all the aforementioned dry ingredients and mix everything well together dry, firstly to combine nicely with each other & then add into it the wet ones ie. the egg, 2G Paste, Onions & Green Chillies & the boiled Maggi along with its tastemaker, etc.
Mix everything nicely by pressing & rubbing well with your hands and you’ll notice that the onions & rest other wet ingredients mixed in will release water organically hence, for me water wasn’t required at all


- However, if it feels dry to you don’t use more than 1/2-1 tbsp water (RT) in it by any chance else, it’ll all scatter inside the oil while deep frying & dirty the oil completely-
Also FYI, if you’re using chopped prawns in it then the extra /dirty oil can’t be used in anything else than in any other non-veg dishes due to its pungent smells- So, be very cautious while preparing this particular pakora mixture


- Now, heat up a frying pan over the medium-high flame initially and reducing the flame to the medium-low & maintaining the same, consistently- We need to deep fry the pakoras in Batches-
That completely depends on the size of your pan & the oven for sure-
Suggested not to over clutter the pan by any means & sufficient room need be given for the Maggi Pakoras to be deep fried well- equally browned on its both sides


- Once each of the batches are done: strain it well in a colander & with the help of a perforated spoon to drain off its excess oil-
Transfer it to a separate plate/dish/bowl later once all the batches are done with before garnishing & serving onto the serving platter-
Recommended, make it all in the bite sized pieces & not too big to be broken into pieces while eating 🍽
