  2. 2 deshi Sweet Potatoes
  3. 300 ml boiled milk with saffron strands
  4. 50 gram homemade crumbled mawa(milk solids)
  5. 1/2 cup coconut jaggery powder
  6. 1 pinch salt
  7. 3 Tbsp melted ghee
  8. 1/3 Tsp cardamom powder
  9. 1 pinch nutmeg powder
  10. 2 Tbsp chopped almonds and pistachios

  1. Clean, wash, peel off and grate carrots and Sweet Potatoes. Mix grated mawa with hot milk.
  2. Heat ghee on a pan. Add the grated carrots, sweet potatoes and salt. Mix well and cook until softened.
  3. Add the milk mixture. Cook on medium heat with intermittent stirring till the milk reduced to half.
  4. Now add powdered coconut jaggery, chopped nuts, cardamom and nutmeg powder. Mix well till the halwa come together.
  5. Allow to cool down. Serve with cashews in a serving plate.
