Mango Falooda is a tasty summer Indian chilled layered dessert. The mango season has officially begun in India. So you can try this mango falooda recipe this summer season. This is made with fresh mango puree, chopped mangoes, milk, Sabja seeds, Falooda noodles, strawberry syrup/Rose syrup and nuts. You can also serve it with mango ice-cream/vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Mango Falooda:
- 2 tbsp Basil Seeds/Sabja Seeds (soaked) soaked in 1/2 cup water for 20 mins
- 1 cup Falooda sev/Vermicelli (boiled)
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 cup Mango Puree/Mango Pulp
- 1 cup Mangoes chopped/cut into cubes
- as required Strawberry Syrup as required/you can your choice syrup
- as per need Nuts for garnishing chopped pistachios and almonds
- 4 scoops Ice cream mango or vanilla/optional
Instructions to make Mango Falooda
- Take besil/sabja seeds in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of water in it. Let it soak for 30-40 minutes. They will absorb most of the water and it get bigger in size. If there is any water in it then drain the water from it.
- To cook falooda sev, 3 cup of water boil in a saucepan, then add falooda sev in the boiled water and cook it for 4-5 minutes (or they becomes transparent).
- Drain the water and rinse the sev with cold water and cut the sev into 1-inch pieces so it will be easier to eat with a spoon, then place the prepared sev in refrigerate until use.
- Boil the milk in a pan, when the milk starts to boil add sugar into the milk and stir until sugar is dissolved. Put off the flame and allow the milk to cool down and chill until use.
- Chill the serving falooda glasses in the fridge for at least half an hour, and put mango puree and chopped mango cubes into the refrigerator until use.
- To assemble falooda: Take the chilled serving glass and drizzle 2 tbsp strawberry syrup.
- Add few mango cubes in the bottom of the glass, then add a spoonful of cooked sev.
- Add 1/4 cup of chilled milk, then add a spoonful of soaked basil/sabja seeds.
- Add 1/4 cup of mango pulp followed by a few mango pieces. (You can also add Top it with a scoop of ice cream)
- Garnish with chopped nuts, some mango pieces and almonds. Repeat the same for rest glasses.
