These are also served in cafes, eateries, tiffin centers & restaurants across India. There is also a South Indian version known as bread bajji made much similar way but without potato stuffing.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Bread Pakoda:

  2. 2 cup Gram flour (besan)
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. 1 tsp carom seeds
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. Water as per required
  7. 1 tbsp hot oil
  8. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  9. 🎯 For Stuffing :--
  10. 5 no. Midium size boiled potatoes
  11. 2 tbsp oil
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  13. 3-4 finely chopped green chilly
  14. 1 tbsp grated ginger
  15. 1 pinch asafoetida
  16. 1 tsp half crushed dry coriander seeds
  17. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  18. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  19. 2 tsp coriander powder
  20. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  21. 1 tsp garam masala
  22. 1/2 tsp dry mango powder (Amchur powder)
  23. 1 tsp kasuri methi powder (dry Fenugreek powder)
  24. 2 tbsp finely chopped green coriander leaves
  25. 🎯 For Assemble Bread Pakoda :--
  26. 10 no. Sandwich bread slices
  27. Special sandwich Green chutney as per required
  28. Tometo ketchup as per required
  29. Oil for deep frying as per required

Steps to make Bread Pakoda

  1. First boil the potatoes. Now we will make better for pakoda. In a large bowl add besan, salt, carom seeds, turmeric powder and mix with whisker. Then add a little bit of water and make a medium consistency batter. Then bit this batter for 2 to 3 minutes. Rest this batter for 10 minutes.
  2. Now we will make pakoda's stuffing. For this, heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, grated ginger, asafoetida and half crushed dried coriander.
  3. Now mash the boiled potatoes in it, add it, mix it and cook on low flame for a while. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala, mix well and cook it.
  4. Now add dry mango powder, kasuri methi powder, green coriander leaves and salt in this mixture, mix well and immediately turn off the gas flame.
  5. Now we will assemble the bread from the stuffing for the bread pakoda. For this, take four loaves of bread and spread two loaves of bread with green chutney and two loaves of bread with tomato ketchup. Then spread the potato stuffing on the bread one by one as shown in the photo.
  6. Now close this bread with another bread. Now cut this bread in half and make a triangular cut. Then heat the oil to fry the bread pakoda on one side.
  7. Now add hot oil to the batter of pakoda and mix. Now add baking powder and mix. Now seal the slice of bread from the edge and coat with besan on all sides.
  8. Now add this bread pakoda in hot oil and fry golden on both sides on medium gas flame.
  9. Now our crispy bread pakodas are ready to serve. Serve this bread pakoda with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
